Surveillance cameras to be installed in New York cabs and limousines

A new pilot program in New York City will install both forward and backward looking cameras in some of the city’s 13,000 cabs and limousines. The program is being sponsored and promoted by New York’s Taxi and Limousine Commissioner Matthew Daus. He and other proponents of the ubiquitous use of cameras spying on citizens claim, “If you have nothing to hide authorities say you have nothing to worry about.”

When you consider that the Department of Homeland Security keeps adding restrictions and requirements to those who own and use private aircraft one can only assume cameras may soon be required in all private automobiles as well.

Perhaps all of this video and audio surveillance should be used to track elected and appointed government officials instead of sovereign citizens?

Maybe they should take a look at the United Kingdom, where its proofed, that video surveillance doesn´t have any sucess in crime prevention.

Let’s put cameras in all elected officials cars also. that way we can see how they waste taxpayers money.
