The US Senate is about to vote on it’s version of HR 6304 - the FISA Amendments.
What does this mean to you?
This bill will allow the President, any president, not just the current one, to tap YOUR phone for ANY REASON he or she thinks fit. This is Soviet era style stuff here folks. There will no longer be ANY law stopping the President from tapping the phone or internet communications of ANYONE they want. So if they don’t like you, if you disagree with their policies, if you don’t support the taxes they want to pass on you, or mandatory government healthcare, or to take your guns, or your kids, or force you to be vaccinated with experimental drugs, or if they start another war you disagree with, or simply because you didn’t vote for them, they can tap your communications and store it for any purpose or use they want.
AND the telecom companies will be immune from lawsuit for doing the dirty work. Retroactively. That means they can’t be taken to court, even for what they’ve already done.
Folks, this isn’t about catching terrorists. It’s about convincing you to give up all right to privacy. It’s about FEAR and INTIMIDATION. Even your non phone conversations may possibly be ‘tapped’ due to their ability to remotely turn on devices like cell phone and OnStar microphones.
This is serious people.
Call your Senators NOW and tell them to vote NO on the FISA bill.
Spying is an act of war. Spying on the American people is treason. This bill is a declaration of war by our government upon We the People. Anyone who carries out this spying is a traitor and is guilty of treason. Let’s not go down this path. If you want to see where it leads, read about Nazi Germany, Soviet Russia, Pinochet’s Chile, Mugabe’s Zimbabwe, heck even Saddam’s Iraq.
This is also an act of Treason by Congress if it passes this bill. Treason is defined by the Constitution as “giving aid or comfort to the enemy, or making war against them [the several States].”
If the terrorists hate us because we are free, I can’t think of a better way to give them aid and comfort than to take away that freedom from the American People. (I’ve already covered the making war
