In Bushzarre world John McCain supported the New G. I. Bill

By: D. H. Williams @ 10:15 PM - EST

Do my ears deceive me - Bush thanks McCain for helping to pass the New G.I. Bill?

McCain vehemently opposed Sen. Jim Webb’s New G. I. Bill, saying it would encourage soldiers to leave the military.

To those who really know McCain should not be surprised he would be against fair treatment of the military as he has a long record of disrespecting uniformed personnel including MIA/POW’s.

Morning Joe - Is there a mutany brewing?

By: D. H. Williams @ 9:28 PM - EST

Seymour Hersh’s article “Preparing the Battlefield” discussed on Morning Joe.

Katrina vanden Heuvel theorizes that U. S. Military commanders have leaked information to journalist Sy Hersh to derail the push to war by the Necons.

Over the past years there have been rumors of a second chain of command coming from the Vice Presidents office. Some believe Cheney’s covert use of the military is behind many tactical and strategic blunders including the loose nukes flown to Louisiana.

Shocking images from Iran (Caution - graphic)

By: D. H. Williams @ 12:24 PM - EST

The Necons constantly say “the U. S. must liberate the people of Iran … effect regime change of the Islamosfacist government.”

After viewing these graphic images I now understand the Neocons concerns better.

Necon spokesman John Bolton continues push for war with Iran

By: D. H. Williams @ 10:54 PM - EST

John Bolton called into American Pravda [Fox News] today to continue his push for war with Iran. The former U.N. ambassador has been carrying the water for the Neocons in The White House all month making the TV and radio talk show circuit repeating the nuclear scare tactic used so effectively in the run up for war with Iraq.

Earlier this week Bolton bristles at a radio host who questions the credibility of the Neocons running the war. Listen to full interview here.

White House attacking Iran now

By: D. H. Williams @ 10:18 PM - EST

The Bush administration has launched a “significant escalation” of covert operations in Iran, sending U.S. Special Operation Units to spy on the country’s nuclear facilities and undermine the Iranian government, journalist Seymour Hersh said Sunday.

Just recently another $400 Million of funds has been appropriated with the full consent and knowledge of the Democrats in Washington who were elected to end the war in Iraq.

The details of these military operations inside Iran have been kept secret from The Congress and from top military commanders responsible for overall strategy of the war in the Middle East.

These activities appear to be run from a second chain of command coming from the Vice Presidents office.

“They believe that their mission is to make sure that before they get out of office next year, either Iran is attacked or it stops its weapons program,” Hersh said.

The new article, “Preparing the Battlefield,” is the latest in a series of articles accusing the Bush administration of preparing for war with Iran.

CIA spokesmen and Ambassador to Iran will not confirm the attacks on Iran which have been taking place since 2005.

“The CIA, as a rule, does not comment on allegations regarding covert operations,” CIA spokesman Paul Gimigliano said.

Ryan Crocker, the U.S. ambassador in Baghdad, denied U.S. raids were being launched from Iraq, where American commanders believe Iran is stoking sectarian warfare and fomenting attacks on U.S. troops.

“I can tell you flatly that U.S. forces are not operating across the Iraqi border into Iran, in the south or anywhere else,” Crocker said.

Admiral William Fallon who until very recently was head of U. S. Central Command and in charge of American forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. Fallon resigned under pressure in late March after giving a series of interviews stating his reluctance to attack Iran.

Fallon said, “Too many people believe you have to be either for or against the Iranians…Let’s get serious. Eighty million people live there, and everyone’s and individual. The idea that they’re one way or another is nonsense.”

Since 9/11 the President has been able to use the Pentagon without the consent of the Congress and without even informing the chain of command about what the CIA is up to.

According to Marine General John J. (Jack) Sheehan, whose last assignment was as commander-in-chief of the U. S. Atlantic Command. “He [Adm. Fallon] was charged with coming up with an over-all coherent strategy for Iran, Iraq, and Afghanistan, and, by law, the combatant commander is responsible for all military operations within his A.O.”—area of operations. “That was not happening,” Sheehan said. “When Fallon tried to make sense of all the overt and covert activity conducted by the military in his area of responsibility, a small group in the White House leadership shut him out.”

This covert invasion of Iran is just another example of how the Neocon’s private agenda has nothing to do with the national interest of the U. S.

Governments world wide claim citizens have no rights to film in public

By: D. H. Williams @ 2:03 PM - EST

Governments are spending billions on surveillance equipment and CCTV cameras are being placed on public property everywhere.

You are told you have no right to privacy in public, but be careful if you are the one taking pictures or filming as police may assault and arrest you even in the absence of any actual law breaking.

Photographer in London is assaulted and threatened by police, no law was broken.

The police regularly film and photograph protesters in Ireland, without their permission. Peaceful activists have cameras shoved in their faces whether they want it or not. Happily this can be useful for evidence, since the courts have in the past used Garda video to vindicate those charged with offences. It seems, however, that the police have different ideas when it comes to them being filmed…
