Albuquerque police officer attacks cameraman

By: D. H. Williams @ 6:23 Pm - EST

The unlawful attack took place while the Eyewitness News 4 cameraman was filming the aftermath of, “an exchange of gunfire between a driver and police officers.” According to the APD.

The police claim the photographer was told to go to a “media staging area.” Apparently oblivious that such restrictions on the First Amendment are not only illegal but a clear violation of the officer’s oath to defend The United States Constitution.

Officer D. Guzman walks the 100 plus feet to where the cameraman is and begins to circle in an effort to evade any film record of his acts Guzman then brutally attacks the member of the press as he places the camera in his vehicle. The cameraman is them cuffed and detained for 90 minutes.

This type of story is to be expect from oppressive regimes in China and elsewhere but why is happening here? Illegal acts of aggression and civil rights violations are all too common in America posing a real danger to the survival of the Republic.

Why in the world would a police officer attack a member of the press? This makes absolutely no sense.

I sure hope this cameraman will be pressing charges against that officer and maybe even against the department as well.

Cockroaches don’t like light. By the same token, police don’t like cameras.

Saw this on youtube, I would strongly suggest that the local television affilate go after this mother and prosecute the law enforcement official to the fullest extent as well as put political pressure on the mayor’s office as well as internal affairs!
